Model Parliament

The Model Parliament is a key experiential component of the MPG program where students step into the roles of public representatives and engage in simulated legislative proceedings. Wearing the political hat, they assume positions such as House Leaders, Opposition Leaders, Chief Whips, and elected members. Students participate in structured debates, discuss bills, and deliberate on resolutions with seriousness and discipline. This exercise helps them understand parliamentary procedures, decision-making processes, and the importance of constructive debate. It builds essential skills such as public speaking, negotiation, critical thinking, and consensus-building, preparing them for effective participation in democratic institutions.
