Idea to Impact – Creative Content for Change is an online creative content competition by MIT School of Government (MIT-SOG) that invites young individuals to express their perspectives on contemporary political, democratic and governance issues through creative digital formats.

Submission Regulations

All entries must be original creations of the participant.

Plagiarised, copied or substantially reproduced content will be disqualified.

Participants must have the necessary rights/permissions for all materials used in their submission.

Participants must not submit another person's work as their own.

Regarding AI-Generated Content

  • AI tools may be used as a creative aid for brainstorming, ideation, editing or enhancement. However, participants must disclose the use of AI tools during submission. Participants remain responsible for the originality, accuracy, ethical use and rights associated with their final submission. 

Copyright & Intellectual Property

  • Participants should confirm that:

  • They own or have permission to use the content submitted.

  • Music, photographs, footage, graphics and other third-party materials are properly licensed or permitted.

  • Copyright-infringing entries may be disqualified.

  • MIT-SOG is not responsible for copyright disputes arising from participant submissions.

Content Restrictions

  • Entries must not contain:

  • Hate speech

  • Religious hatred

  • Caste-based discrimination

  • Sexually explicit content

  • Defamatory content

  • Threats or incitement to violence

  • Personal attacks

  • Deliberately misleading information presented as fact

  • Targeted harassment

  • Content targeting private individuals

  • Offensive or abusive language

  • Content promoting discrimination or violence

  • Content that violates applicable\ constitutional laws

  • Plagiarism

  • Submission of someone else's work

  • False information

  • Violation of competition rules
