About

Aditi Ojha is a public policy researcher with an academic background in public policy, political science, and English. Her work focuses on evidence-based policy analysis, socio-economic research, and the intersection of governance, gender, and development. She is particularly interested in understanding how social structures, public institutions, and policy interventions shape access to opportunities and outcomes for marginalised communities.

She has been actively engaged in research and analytical projects spanning gender and development, rural livelihoods, electoral politics, urban governance, and corporate social responsibility. Her experience includes conducting qualitative and quantitative field research with The/Nudge Institute, where she studied the socio-economic, gender, and caste-related barriers faced by women farmers in Uttar Pradesh. She has also contributed to the development of gender sensitisation and awareness materials for self-help groups through Project Concern International (PCI), translating complex social issues into accessible and engaging content.

Aditi has further worked on electoral research and constituency-level political analysis with Niti Tantra, examining voting patterns, caste dynamics, and socio-political factors influencing electoral behaviour. At Praja, she contributed to research on property tax reforms and the fiscal empowerment of cities, combining secondary research and data analysis to develop policy-oriented reports on urban governance. Her experience at Sattva Consulting has broadened her understanding of corporate social responsibility (CSR), environmental, social, and governance (ESG) frameworks, industry materiality, and strategic approaches to social impact. Through these engagements, she has developed an interdisciplinary perspective that connects empirical research with practical policy challenges and institutional decision-making.

Her approach emphasises methodological rigour, critical inquiry, and the use of data to inform policy and programme design. She works with qualitative research methods, statistical analysis, survey design, and geospatial tools, including R, Stata, and GIS, to examine complex development challenges. Drawing on insights from public policy, political science, sociology, and development studies, Aditi aims to contribute to research and policy initiatives that promote inclusive governance, social equity, and evidence-informed decision-making.
