It is my pleasure to welcome you to MIT School of Government (MIT-SOG), Pune. MIT-SOG is the pioneer Institute in India and Asia to initiate a Master’s program on political leadership in the year 2005. The unique initiative to bring about a change in the mindset of people about politics was the seed thought of Sri. Rahul Karad, the initiator of MIT-SOG and Executive President of MIT World Peace University, Pune.

MIT-SOG, a constituent unit of MIT World Peace University, offers a two-year Master’s Program in Political Leadership & Government. Politics, that provides diverse career opportunities for the youth, is an important tool as well as platform to realise good governance and deepen democracy that will enable them to significantly contribute towards nation building. We have the conviction that good political leadership from Panchayat to Parliament can only ensure good governance and vibrant democracy in the country.

We believe that leadership can and should be taught; and, every person possesses leadership potentials that needs to be nurtured. MIT-SOG is committed to transform the young and dynamic citizens to traverse their political journey by ushering a qualitative change in leadership of today and tomorrow.
